What WhichCookie does

WhichCookie provides consent infrastructure for websites, publishers, agencies, and operators. The service displays consent interfaces, stores signed consent records, exposes consent APIs such as TCF/GPP compatibility surfaces, and helps customers control advertising, analytics, and vendor scripts.

Data we process

Account data: name, email, phone, company, position, authentication method, and dashboard activity.
Website setup data: domains, site keys, configuration, selected languages, design settings, vendor settings, and publication state.
Consent evidence: consent ID, policy version, vendor list version, jurisdiction, selected purposes/vendors, generated privacy strings, hashed IP address, hashed user agent, timestamps, and server-side signature.
Operational data: health checks, security logs, queue state, refresh jobs, webhook delivery state, and audit events.

Consent framework behavior

Where configured, WhichCookie can expose IAB-compatible APIs including __tcfapi, legacy __cmp, and GPP surfaces. Production IAB TCF signalling requires a real CMP ID, a cached IAB Global Vendor List, a valid policy version, vendor disclosures, and validator approval before it should be represented as a registered CMP signal.

Retention and security

Consent evidence is stored to prove a visitor decision and is protected with server-side signatures and hashed technical identifiers. Operators can export or review records when needed for compliance, support, or customer requests.
